June Marie Pitts

June Marie Pitts long time resident of Verdigris, OK passed away on October 22, 2021. June was 79 years of age; born to Earl and Lela Hudson on March 5, 1942, in Bluejacket, Oklahoma. June attended Big Cabin Schools and met her future husband J.C. Pitts at a school event. June and J.C. were married 64 years having wed on January 18,1957 in Big Cabin, OK. June worked as a nurse assistant before devoting her time to homemaking and raising her children. In later years, June worked as a receptionist for H & R Block.

June enjoyed being outside, fishing and spending time with her family. June had fond memories of fishing trips to Canada with her siblings and their spouses as they included all these favorite pastimes. June liked traveling; no matter if it was to the mountains, the beach, lake areas or an amusement park with her grandchildren. June’s grandchildren had a special place in her heart, and she loved spending time with them. June also enjoyed cooking and taking dishes to various family gatherings.

June is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Lela Hudson; two brother, Curtis Hudson, and Larry Hudson; and her daughter Debbie Pitts.

June is survived by her husband J.C. Pitts; daughters, Donna Chapman and DeeDee Lutz; brothers, Paul Hudson, and Johnny Hudson; 3 grandchildren; Kimberly Chapman, Haley Bressie and Paige Lutz; and 1 great grandchild, Kaycen Bressie.
