Junior Clay Knight

Graveside service for Junior Clay Knight will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the Chelsea Cemetery. Services will be under the direction of the Chelsea Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mr. Knight passed away February 4, 2012 at the age of 80.
The son of Mose and Mary Knight was born November 24, 1931 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He attended Tulsa Public Schools graduating from Webster High in 1950. A few months later on September 1, 1950, he enlisted in the United States Army. After the end of the Korean War he returned to Oklahoma. June 20, 1953 he married Charlotte Fern Kidd in New Mexico. A short time later they made their way to Chelsea. There they began running a dairy. After their retirement, they sold their farm and bought an RV. The next several years of his life was spent in Branson. There he worked and volunteered at Silver Dollar City. In 2007 he returned to Chelsea to be near his granddaughter.
He is preceded in death by his parents Moe and Mary Knight; wife, Charlotte; son, Michael, and siblings, Harry Knight, Ilus Earl Knight, and Virginia Knight Boehmer.
Survivors include his granddaughter, Mandy Anderson and husband Luke, and great-grandchildren, Paige Anderson, Morgan Anderson and John Humler.
