Karen went home to be with her Lord and savior on Monday, May 1, 2017 at her home with her beloved family by her side. She was 69.
Born July 24, 1947 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Ross and Dorothy Imogene (Tague) Rader, Karen attended school at Sequoyah and graduated high school with the class of 1965. On December 18, 1972 Karen married Bill Huffaker and together they made their home in rural Claremore where they raised 4 children.
Karen's working career revolved around one of her favorite pastimes, cooking. She was the chef at Justus School for many years and loved fixing lunch for those kids only retiring because of health challenges. Karen loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. The holidays were made extra special with Karen's wonderful cooking. She and Bill traveled to many fun destinations: Yellow Stone, Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Destin Florida, Branson, Missouri, and various cruises to name a few. Her attitude was always positive and uplifting, not to say there were not bad days, but she would always look to the bright side, whatever the situation.
This wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend will be missed by all who knew her. Those family members that survive include her husband of over 44 years, Bill Huffaker of the home; her children Sheila Bible and husband Keith of Foyil, Angie James and husband Mark of Claremore, Billy Huffaker and wife Hannah also of Claremore and Jimmy Huffaker and wife Jamie of Verdigris; her grandchildren Dakota James, Mallory Clark and husband Andy, Brittany Brown and husband Lawrence, Allyson Bible, Joel Bible, Clint Bible and wife Sam, Ashley Huffaker, Victoria Huffaker, Michael Huffaker, Montana Huffaker, and Jessie Firey; great grandchildren James and Emma Hollis, Maddie Bible, Arianna Brown and Remmington Clark; sisters Donna Huffaker and husband Richard and Glenna Vardey and brother Larry Rader and wife Beth.
