Karl Heinz Davis

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Karl Davis will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel. Prior to the service, visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Karl Davis, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at the age of 64. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.

Karl was born on June 23, 1958, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Gordon and Irmengard Davis. During his childhood, his siblings teased him, convincing him that he had been found on the side of the road, a story he believed for much of his early years. He was affectionately nicknamed "Frog" by his uncle Jeff. His dad nicknamed him "Fuzzy" because he could never grow facial hair until he was an adult. The family later moved to Germany, where they resided for three years before returning to the United States. Being the son of a career military man Karl moved around the country before settling in Rogers County. Karl attended Lone Elms Schools and graduated from Sequoyah High School in 1977. Karl began working in the oil and gas industry as a fitter welder for over 30 years in the Tulsa area. Karl loved to fish and watch any type of sports, especially OU Football.

Known for his lighthearted nature and outgoing personality, Karl was always a joy to be around. He cherished spending time with his family and, most importantly,  his grandchildren. Being around his grandchildren brought him great joy. Karl's presence was a source of joy and amusement, and his absence will leave a void in the lives of all those who loved him.

Karl is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James. He is survived by his children, Derrick Davis and Chrissie Miller; grandchildren, Makayla and Haylee; son-in-law, Chris Miller; brother, John "Cheese" Davis; sisters, Terry Davis and Antionette Henson, and her husband Doug; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
