Graveside service for Kathleen Livingston will be 12:00p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Claremore, Oklahoma. Kathleen passed away on Monday, November 23rd, 2020. She was 73.
Born March 4, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois to Joe Jones and Geraldine Rita (Hogan) Allton, Kathleen moved with her family to Claremore when she was young. She started her education in Claremore and finished in Bartlesville first at St. John Catholic School and then College High School.
Following her graduation Kathleen married her high school sweetheart, Jackie Dean Livingston. The couple made Stillwater their home while Jackie was in college. Kathleen worked at a bank to help with the cost of school and living. Next, they moved to Bartlesville, then Houston became home for a time. They eventually made their way back to Oklahoma, first at Bartlesville, then Muskogee. It was here that Kathleen became involved with the kids’ school and worked hard at being the best wife and mother. She was on the Hilldale School Board and also worked on the State of Oklahoma Text Book Committee. Kathleen was instrumental in getting the pedestrian bridge that stands today at Hilldale elementary school. Later in her life she become a fierce competitor in her Tuesday night dominos group.
Family and friends will miss Kathleen's greeting each time they saw her, "Hi honey, how are you?" along with her big smile. The sweet and strong-will personality she had was most endearing with everyone she met. Kathleen leaves a legacy of memories for her family.
Those who survive include her children Zachary Scott Livingston and fiancée Katherine McElroy, Emily Kathleen Livingston, and Amanda Livingston Piper and husband Zach; her grandchildren Zachary Parker Livingston, Luke Michael Livingston, Chad Matthew Livingston, and Cameron Piper; her brother John Allton and wife Lanie and her sister Carlotta Gore; niece Cherokee Shufeldt and great nephews Riley Shufeldt and Allton Shufeldt. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jackie Dean, her beloved cousin Susie Burke and her dog Buddy.
