Kathy Denise Hayes was born on August 16, 1956 at 11:02 P.M. to Dick and Clara Dobbs in Claremore, OK. She passed away on August 3, 2021 at 9:56 P.M. in Claremore, OK. Kathy had a happy childhood surrounded by loving family. She was a very bright student who often won awards including graduating as Valedictorian from Catoosa High School in 1974. Kathy began her career working as a legal secretary and then moved to McNabb Coal company. She then began a rewarding job at Sweet Adeline's International where she spent the bulk of her work career. There she rose to the top due to her tireless work ethic. At Sweet Adeline's she traveled extensively and saw many parts of the world. She developed a love for travel and especially the beach.
Kathy was a very talented woman who could sing like an angel and play the piano like no other. She spent many evenings with her family singing and playing. Her family was the most important thing to her. Kathy married Robert E. Hayes on December 9, 1983. She was the love of Bob's life and he was hers. Their love was truly special and an inspiration to many. Kathy and Bob, together, had five children. Kathy was a loving mother to all her children and a devoted wife and mother. Kathy & Bob raised their family in Inola, OK on a small farm. They spent many happy years there before moving to Tenkiller Lake in Park Hill, OK in 2002 where they enjoyed life to the fullest with family and friends. In late 2014 Bob became ill and they moved to live with Rachel and Chap to be closer to family and doctors. There she remained living life as a loving grandmother and helping to care for her youngest grandchildren, Hayes and Nash. Kathy was proceeded in death by her parents, Dick and Clara Dobbs and her loving husband, Robert E. Hayes.
Kathy is survived by her sister, Margie Swaggerty, her brother, Billy Dobbs and wife Carolyn. Her children, Amanda Chapman and husband Trey, Brandi Jamison and husband Mike, Rachel Crawford and husband Chap, Robert Hayes, Jr. and wife Tosha, Amy Boyd and husband, Greg. Her grandchildren, Justin Chapman, Joshua Chapman and wife Rebecca, Chase Jamison and wife Abby, Teylor Chapman, Logan Hayes, Dawson Jamison, Hayes and Nash Crawford, and Ryan and Adam Boyd. Great grandchildren Ethan, Elias, and Emily Chapman.. She is also survived by many cousins and extended family. Kathy's legacy of love, self sacrifice and dedication to her family will live on in our hearts.
