Kathy Janell Ridge

A viewing for Kathy Sorber Ridge will be held from 1-8 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Home. Family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m.

Kathy passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the age of 51.

The daughter of Willard C. and Naomi Russell Sorber was born November 11, 1961 in Claremore, Oklahoma. As a young girl she was raised in Claremore and attended Claremore schools. She then moved moved to Fairview where her daughter was born. Over the next several years she made her way from Fairview, to Oklahoma City and finally back to Claremore in the early 1990's. Once back she became reacquainted with an old high school friend, Jeff Ridge. They were married March 20, 2008 on horseback in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Kathy loved traveling, especially to the beach. However, that was just one of her favorite destination. She, being an avid sports fan would travel all over just to watch some of her favorite teams play. The most important of them being the Texas Rangers.
She will be remembered as a women who loved the Lord and cherished her animals, mostly her dog Pedro.

She is preceded in death by he father Willard Sorber , and brother Tommy Sorber.

Survivors include her husband Jeff of the home, mother, Naomi Sorber-Ward-Correll of Claremore; daughters, Stephanie Stimson of Claremore, Cassie Ridge of Claremore, and Nicole Ridge of Claremore; son, Chase Ridge and wife Jennifer of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brother, Ron Sorber and wife Sandra of Claremore; sister, Shelly Rhine and husband Rod of Sequoyah, grandchildren, Aidan, Ava, Blaslyn, Shelby, Gracie, Jackson, Caden and Chase and mother-in-law Jean Weilert of Claremore.
