Memorial service for Julie "Kay" Morgan was 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel. Kay passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019. She was 72.
Born January 10, 1947 in Quinton, Oklahoma to Earl and Maxine (Stockton) Pearson, Kay attended school in her hometown, graduating 2 years early, when she was only 16. On October 13, 1964, she married Dean H. Morgan and the couple made their first home in Catoosa before moving to Claremore and this has been home since.
Kay was a devoted mother to her children and grandchildren. She was the one who made sure everyone had what they needed and took great care of her family. She loved to cook and they enjoyed the wonderful dishes she prepared for them. Kay also enjoyed her flower garden and being active with her church. She was especially happy when she was with her grandchildren. Kay and Dean spent time traveling around the United States and were able to visit most of the states. She and Dean enjoyed taking their grandkids on little adventures to the lake so they could spend time with them. Kay also had a sense of humor and enjoyed a good joke, something she passed to her beloved grandchildren.
Those family members that survive include her husband Dean of the home; her children Bob Morgan and Debbie Black and husband Jon; her grandchildren Ryan Roach, Michael Black, Rebekah Black, Matthew Black, Rachael Black and Alex Morgan; her sisters Pat Garrison and husband Dewy and Edna Seabolt. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, her son Roger Morgan and her sister Darleen Ashcraft and brother Guy Pearson.
