Kaysie Reed

Funeral service for Kaysie Lynn Reed will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Chelsea. Burial will follow at Winganon Cemetery under the direction of the Chelsea Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015 from 1-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8.

Kaysie went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the age of 34 after her 6 year battle with brain cancer.

The daughter of Mark and Debbie Hayes Shrum was born November 30, 1980 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She spent her entire life living just outside of Chelsea in the Winganon community. When she became old enough to start school she began attending Alluwe schools. Then after the completion of the 3rd grade she attended Chelsea. There she enjoyed participating softball and basketball.. She graduated as a member of the Chelsea High School Class of 1999. Her last two years of school Kaysie studied cosmetology at the vo-tech school in Pryor. After graduating she worked as a hair dresser in the Chelsea, Catoosa, and Nowata areas.

In her spare time she enjoyed hunting, fishing, doing crafts and attending her home church (Winganon Baptist Church). However being with her children and family were her greatest joy.

She is preceded in death by her son, Garrett Junior Reed.

Survivors include her children, Levi Wyatt Reed, Halley Grace Reed, Jayzie Autumn Reed and Mayce Shanay Reed all of the home; parents, Mark and Debbie Shrum of Winganon; sister, Ashley Shrum of Winganon, maternal grandparents, Jim and Sue Hayes of Winganon and paternal grandparents Jim and Virginia Luellen of Nowata, along with many uncles, aunts and cousins.
