Keith Hunter

Funeral service for Robert "Keith" Hunter will be 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, at Inola Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chad Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday 1-6 p.m.

Keith passed away Tues., Dec. 15, 2015, at Hillcrest Hospital South, Tulsa, at the age of 61.

The son of Robert Leon Hunter and Lila Jean (Roach) Hunter was born Dec. 28, 1953, in Liberal, KS. A short time later he and his family moved to Tulsa. There he attended Will Rogers High School graduating in 1972. He then met Jeane Hicks, and they were married September 7, 1973. The couple made their home in Tulsa. There Keith worked as an industrial engineer for most of his life. He worked for Gear Products for 25 years, taught General Machinist for 3 years at Tulsa Tech Center, and most recently worked 14 years for Continental Industrial Supply. In 1985 Keith and Jeane, moved to Inola. Keith stayed active enjoying life. Among his many activities he enjoyed going out to eat, relaxing at his trailer in Maize, fishing, collecting Native American Artwork, golfing, going horseback riding with his friend, Denney Merryman, watching westerns, and selling jewelry at area Pow-wow's. He was an avid NASCAR fan, especially Earnhardt, Jr., and an avid Oklahoma Sooner fan, "Go Boomer Sooner!". He loved spending time with Jeane; and dearly loved his horse, Richard, and dogs: Donar, Cheyenne, and Yoda.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Jeane of the home; brother, Rodney Hunter of Tulsa; sister, Linda Slaton of Claremore; and sister-in-law, Annie Cartwright of Broken Arrow.
