Kelly Kaye Swope

Memorial service for Kelly Swope will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Inola First Baptist Church. 

Kelly Kaye Swope, 55, of Inola went home to be with her Savior Jesus on June 29, 2023 surrounded by many friends and family after an almost two year battle with ALS. 

Kelly was born March 8, 1968 to Alvin Ray and Betty Jo Kennon in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Inola High School graduating class of 1986. For most of her life, Kelly made her residence in Inola, Oklahoma, but she had short stints in Claremore, Catoosa, and Broken Arrow as well. She worked many jobs over the years including being a secretary at Inola Middle School, working in Accounts Payable at Union Public Schools, and owning her own cleaning business. One of Kelly’s greatest joys in life was spending time with her children: Tyler, Brandon, and Matthew, her four grandchildren: Graci, Grayson, London, and Miles, and her best friend Kathy Burks. 

Kelly is preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Betty Kennon. Kelly is survived by her sons; Tyler and his wife Lindsey, Brandon, and Matthew; her four grandchildren; Graci, Grayson, London, and Miles; her sister Jodie Newkirk and her husband Charles; her best friend Kathy Burks and her husband Mike; and numerous nieces and nephews.
