Funeral service for Kenith Earl Byler will be 11 a.m., Tues., Sept. 27, at First Baptist Church, Chelsea, with Rev. Jay McAlister officiating. Burial with military honors by the U.S. Navy will follow at Chelsea Cemetery under the direction of Chelsea Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Mon. 3-5 p.m.
Kenith passed away Thurs., Sept. 22, 2011, at the age of 58.
The son of Marshel and Clara (Neel) Byler was born March 21, 1953, in Melbourne, AR. He attended Alluwe High School; and continued his education at NEO in Miami and Rogers State College. Kenith served in the U.S. Navy from 1972 to 1975.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Kenith is survived by his brother, Charles Byler of Claremore; sisters: Geraldine Byler of Pryor, Caroline Harris and husband, Bill of Tulsa, and Nona Carpenter and husband, Dale of Joplin, MO; nephew, Michael Harris of Tulsa; nieces: Anneliese Piquet and husband, Tim of Tulsa, Lydia Spiegal and husband, Danny of Vinita, and Mari Simpronio and husband, Mark of Bridgville, PA; and many other nieces and nephews.
