Kenneth Leroy Cox

December 12, 1952 — March 24, 2014

Funeral service for Kenneth Leroy Cox will be held Monday, March 31, 2014 at the Immanuel Southern Baptist Church in Wagoner. Pastor Rick Boyne will officiate. Burial will follow at Chelsea Cemetery under the direction of the Chelsea Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

Kenny passed away March 24, 2014 at the age of 61.

The son of Everett and Sara Collins Cox was born December 12, 1952 in Panama City, Florida. He attended school there graduating from Ruthford High School in 1970. In 1971 he enlisted in the United States Navy. Upon his discharge he returned home to Florida. There he returned to work as a auto parts manager. A few years later Kenny met Reena Williams. They were married January 29, 1987. They made their home in Florida for a couple of years before moving to Arlington, Texas. After a short stay there moved to Oklahoma. In know time at all Kenny landed a job at Suburban Chevrolet. Over the next several years he would also work at A&M Chevrolet in Vinita, the Chevrolet dealership in Miami and at Harbor View Marina on Grand Lake. In 2007 he moved to Rocky Point on Ft. Gibson Lake. There he enjoyed doing yard work, drawing, playing the guitar and cheering on his two favorite teams the Dallas Cowboys and the OU Sooners.

He is preceded in death by his parents Everett and Sara Cox.

Survivors include his wife Reena of the home, children, Michael Cox, Stephanie Cox, Kevin Rowley and wife Carol, Allen Rowley, JoLynn Takapu and husband Starr, Cindy K. Wilson and husband Steve, Brandie Jo Henry and husband Bobby; grandchildren, Johnathan and Joanne Cox, Kevin Jr., Kent, Kyle and Kody Rowley, Ashley Laffoon, Daphne and Craig Flood, Meagan Holt, Brittany Wilson, Candice Stengen, Brittney, Shaina and Morning Starr Takapu, Hailey and Bailey Henry, and Justin Rowley; 13 great-grandchildren, and brothers, Morris, Dennis, Robert, Ray and David Cox.
