Graveside for Kenneth Alvin Davis will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens, Claremore. Kenneth passed away at his home in Florida on Saturday, December 11, 2021. He was 74.
Born July 1, 1947 in Deridder, Louisiana, to Glenmo Davis and Hazel (Shores) Davis, Ken attended schools in Shreveport. He joined the Navy following his high school graduation and served for many years. This adventure took him to many different states and allowed him to see a lot of the country.
In 1967 he married Carol Mae Farris and the couple made many different communities home. The family moved to Claremore in 1975 and to Texas in 1984. Following his retirement from Lockheed Martin, Ken traveled a lot with his contract work as an Aeronautic Engineer. His hobbies included music, rebuilding old cars, and most important, spending time with his family. He loved refurbishing his old Willies Jeep. An accomplished musician, Ken played bass in church and later played in a band called Moonshine, and also around Claremore and Louisiana for many years.
Those family members that survive include his children Shelly Childers and husband Erik, and Kenny Davis and wife Jeri; grandchildren Kendi Arredondo, Kyle Davis and wife Ashley, and Trey Davis; great- grandchildren Gracie, Samantha, Emma, and Ember; his mother Hazel Davis; his brothers Larry Davis and Wayne Davis.
Ken was preceded in death by his father Glenmo Davis and his wife Carol Davis.
