Funeral service for Kenneth Don Morgan will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 26th, at the MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel.
Kenneth passed away Wed., Nov. 20, 2013, at St. John Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 72.
The son of William Earl and Ruby June (Norrid) Morgan was born Nov. 27, 1940, in Sallisaw. Kenneth served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Kenneth worked as a deputy for many years with the Rogers County Sheriff’s Department, but his true passion was horses. He was a devoted race horse trainer and owner. In February of 1988, he married Patricia Sue “Pattie” Curby in Bella Vista, AR, and they made their home in Oologah. They enjoyed taking care of their horses, and their yearly fishing trips down the Kerr Navigation System.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Pattie; daughter, Michele Morgan Rapp; and parents, William and Ruby Morgan.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna Morgan McCloud and husband, Eugene of Claremore; sisters: Betty Morgan Birdwell of Sallisaw, and Sandra Morgan Reichert and husband, Bill of Beecher, IL; brother, Billy Ray Morgan and wife, Janice of Owasso; grandchildren: Vanessa R. Pompa of Claremore, Brandon L. Morgan and wife, Adrienne of Yukon, Jason O. Morgan of Oklahoma City, and Morgan Lousch of Claremore; and great-grandchildren: Isabella Calvery, Sophia Calvery both of Claremore and Titus Morgan of Yukon.
