Kevin Larouyd Krause was born Monday October 5, 1953 in Pryor Creek, OK to Doris "Irene" Krause. Kevin was raised, and attended school in Claremore, OK. Upon his graduation, Kevin worked as a construction worker and became a semi-professional billiards player in his past time. He played local circuits and in Las Vegas for a short time. In the late 1970's, he began a career as a semi-professional country music guitarist playing at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge in Nashville, TN while still working construction back home. He played with several famous artist including: Chet Atkins, Barbara Mandrell, Porter Wagner, Tommy Allsup, Ernest Tubb, Eldon Shamblin and Leon Mcauliffe of Bob Wills the Texas Playboys, and many other legendary artist that influenced him. He chose to settle down in Oologah, OK after his first wife, Karen, became pregnant in 1978. He then worked as a maintenance technician for PSO for the next 14 years. upon his retirement in 2012 He spent most his time at the American Legion and VFW socializing and playing music with friends.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents Conley Keith Phillips and Doris Irene Krause; his grandparents Frank and Mina Krause and great uncle Harry Krause.
He is survived by his two sons Shane and wife Carol Krause, Brandon and wife Peggy both of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Grandchildren Journey Krause, Elizabeth Krause, and Karen Krause.
