Lana Kay Holland, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 19, 2014 at the age of 63.
The daughter of Woodrow and Mary Mead Merriott was born September 25, 1951 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was raised in Chelsea, and attended Chelsea Schools. She graduated in the spring of 1969. A short time later while attending church, she was introduced to a young service man named Randy Holland. They were a great match and married on November 11, 1969 in Chelsea. With Randy still being in the service the couple made their home in Elk City where he was stationed. Upon his discharge Lana and Randy moved back to her home town of Chelsea. After returning to Chelsea, she would begin her working career. Over the next several years she would work for the City of Chelsea, and the Utica Park Clinic in Tulsa before taking a job for Baker Hughes in Claremore. She worked at Baker Hughes for over 15 years before retiring as a Production Planner. Lana also loved photography. This eventually led her to open her own business (Personal Touch Photography). In her spare time she enjoyed many things such as cooking, playing board games with her family and traveling to her favorite destination in the Smokey Mountains which was Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Church was also a major part of her life. For many years she taught Sunday School and led worship, and she was a member of Harvest Time Assembly of God Church in Adair.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Woodrow Merriott.
Survivors include her husband Randy, daughters, Holly Stacy and husband Arlin, and Amber Sabharwall and husband Jason; grandchildren, Meredith Harkins, Abby and Payton Stacy, and Joshua and Kaylee Sabharwall; sister, Debbie Griggs and husband Jim; brother, Larry Booth and wife Betty along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
