He worked in a grocery store all the way through school then became a sheet metal apprentice while going to night school, eventually obtaining an Accounting degree. He worked in the accounting profession for ten years before making a career change into the computer field where he remained until his retirement in 1989. During his computer career, he served as programmer and systems analyst, and also held several management positions.
For ten years after retirement, Larry and Joyce traveled extensively throughout the USA, Canada and Mexico via RV. They made many long-lasting friends, and Larry cherished his time with each of them.
Larry endured and overcame many difficulties in his life, and oh what a life it was!
He was accomplished at playing many instruments, (even his wife’s kitchen utensils as times). His first love was playing sacred gospel music, but he was also prone to play beautiful classical music for Joyce. The greatest gift he gave her was a wonderful CD called “The Promise”, which will be played at his memorial service.
