Lawanna Marie Berg

Services for Lawanna Marie Berg will be 11:00a.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church, Inola, burial will follow at Parkside Mennonite Brethren Cemetery under the direction of Inola Funeral Home & Crematory.

Lawanna passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the age of 63.

Born April 1, 1951 in Pryor, Oklahoma to W.H. “Willie” and Mary Marie (Reimer) Berg, Lawanna received her education in Inola. Following her graduation she worked at the Long Horn Café for a time.

Lawanna was always active in her church; she enjoyed taking care of the little ones in the nursery and also sang in the church choir. She loved people and would walk to the nursing home where her mother was and visit with her and the other residence there. Later in life she spent time with her friends at the Rogers County Adult Day Care, where she participated in many activities. While at her home she worked word search puzzle books and jig saw puzzles. Lawanna made sure she watched her favorite show each day, Wheel of Fortune, during which time everything else was put on hold until it was over.

A wonderful sister, aunt and friend, Lawanna will be missed by all who knew her. Those family members that survive include her brothers Bobby G. Berg and wife Norma, Ronald “Ron” H. Berg and wife Gloria all of Inola and Richard W. Berg and wife Joann of Kellyville her sister-in-law Janis Berg also of Inola and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Lawanna was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Billy Joe Berg.
