Lee Russell Hasting

Funeral services for Lee Hasting will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023, at 2:00pm at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 1:00pm-6:00pm. Lee passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023, he was 87.  

 Lee Russell Hasting was born July 27, 1936 in Avant, Ok to Lee and Viola Hasting. Russell attended Avant Public School. He joined the Air Force  proudly serving in the Fire Department his entire 20 year career. During his time in the military he worked in the U.S.A., England and Turkey. Russell retired from the Air Force honorably  in 1974. He later owned a salvage business and worked as a owner/operator trucker for several years. He enjoyed cars and was a proud member of the American Legion. He enjoyed retirement, spending time with his beloved wife & children, as well as a multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He passed peacefully on September 2, 2023 in Claremore, Ok. He was preceded in death by parents Lee and Viola, sister Linda, brothers Herb, Troy, and Joe as well as daughter Cheryl and grandson Blake. Russ is survived by his wife Jodi of Claremore, daughter Vanda and son in law Don Teach of Payson, Az., daughter Cheryl Parnell now resides in Heaven. Son Rick Hasting of Big Cabin, Ok., daughter Cindy Cagle of Ft. Smith, Ar., daughter Kim and son in law Darrel DeSautell of Phoenix, Az., son Steve and daughter in law Sandra Hasting of Rheine, Germany, and daughter Tffany and sin in law Jack Hamilton of Claremore, Ok.
