Leola died Thurs., Feb. 10, 2011, at St. John Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 82.

The daughter of William Toy and Clara (Stage) Criner was born April 23, 1928, in Haskell. Leola was raised on a farm near Coweta with 5 sisters and 2 brothers. At an early age of approximately 14 years old she gave her heart to the Lord. She had a desire to help others to the Lord and sent all of her life playing her accordian and singing in churches across the country. She first evangelized with her sisters, Wilma and Mildred, for approximately 3 years before marrying her preacher man, Loyd Hubbard on May 18, 1951, in Claremore.Together they pastored many churches across the country and impacted the lives of those that knew them. She loved to cook and provide for her family. One of her favorite hobbies was picture taking. She would take a picture of nearly everyone if they stood still long enough. Leola composed at least 50 gospel songs and wrote several poems. The last church service she attended she was still doing what she loved so well-singing and playing her accordian.

Leola is preceded in death by her parents, William and Clara Criner.

She is survived by her husband, Loyd James Hubbard of the home; daughter, Linda Blankenship and husband, Gary of Mannford; sons: Loyd Ray Hubbard and wife, Darlene of Craigsville, VA, Larry Hubbard and wife, Lavonda of Sapulpa, Lonnie Hubbard and wife, Joyce of Wynnewood, LeRoy Hubbard and wife, Ginger of Liberal, MO; brothers: Raymond Criner and wife, Neona of Haskell, and Wayne Criner and wife, Alice of Coweta; sisters: Bernice Pippin and husband, Bill of Muskogee, Mildred Moore and husband, Jack of Chelsea, Wilma Milliken and husband, Jim of Claremore, Wanda Brake and husband, Harlon of Coweta, and Ruthie Collins and husband, Dean of Paden; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.
