Memorial service for Leon Otis Kackley will be 11 a.m., Fri., Oct. 12, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel.
Leon died Fri., Oct. 5, 2012, at the Claremore Nursing Home at the age of 75.
Leon Otis Kackley was born Oct 13, 1936 in Purdy Missouri to Mary & Otis Kackley. He was raised in Purdy and attended school there
until at the age of 16, he decided to marry his high school sweetheart, Carolyn Jean Frost. Together they had 3 children, Jack, Debra & Pam. After working numerous jobs as a grocery store clerk, brick mason and tire store owner, Leon decided to get into the auto dealership business. He never met a stranger, and could sell practically anything. He worked for Northcutt Chevrolet in Enid Ok. for many years and then decided to buy his own dealership. He owned and operated Eufaula Family Ford & then Pryor Family Ford. After his retirement, Leon decided to devote his time and talent to singing gospel music in many churches in the area. He loved singing praises to his Lord & Savior. Anytime he was called upon, he was there to sing his music. He loved doing it, and always had a big smile when praising his God in song.
Leon was preceded in death by his mother and father, and many siblings. He is survived by his only living sibling Barbara Johnson & her husband of Kansas City Mo. He is also survived by his children Jack Kackley of Claremore Ok, Debra & Andy Lackey of Owasso, Ok. & Pam Flusche of Tulsa Ok.
Grandchildren Kara Kackley of Oklahoma City, Ok, Chris Kackley, Jessica Kackley & Rebecca Kackley, Jason & Torry Turnbow of Enid Ok, Brandon Turnbow of Enid Ok, Jennifer Cheek of Quapaw, Ok, Callie & Kyle Mann of San Marcos Ca, & Bethany Flusche of Norman Ok.
He is also survived by great-grandaughters, Cassidy & Sloan Turnbow of Enid Ok.
