Marvin Leroy McDaniel passed away on Thursday, February 17th, 2022 at the age of 77.
The son of Marvin and Imogene Dirck McDaniel was born April 28th, 1944 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As a young boy he would live in Pryor before his family settled in the Keetonville area. He would later attend Catoosa Schools graduating as a member of the class of 1961. It wasn't long after graduating that he decided to attend a dance at the Claremore VFW. There he would meet Sharon Lowther. It was love at first sight. They began dating and married on July 28th, 1962. The newly wed couple would make their home in Inola. During this time, Leroy was working as a plumber in Tulsa. After a few years, Leroy decided to buy the plumbing company, and would run Acme Plumbing and Heating for the next several years. Wanting to expand his working opportunities, Leroy and Sharon purchased more land in Inola and began farming and ranching. This also led him into becoming a real estate broker.
In his spare time Leroy had many hobbies and pastimes. He loved classic cars so much, that he started another business buying, restoring, and selling them, with his son. When he wasn't chasing down cars, he would often slip off and go to the horse races. However, spending time with his family was what he loved the most.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Imogene McDaniel; grandmother, Lola Dirck; and brother, Jerry McDaniel.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon McDaniel; children, Lonnie McDaniel and wife Jo, and Lisa McDaniel; grandchildren, Hannah, Lauren and Elaine McDaniel; siblings, Terry McDaniel, Velma Clay and Darlene Shear, and many other extended family.
