Services for Linda Lu Jackson will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 11, 2019 at First Baptist Church, Inola, burial will follow at Sweeten Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday, November 10 from 2pm-3pm. Linda passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019. She was 73.
Born March 19, 1946 in Charlottesville, Virginia to A.B. and Edna (Cosner) King, Linda moved to Farmville at the age of 3 with her family. She attended school there and graduated in 1964. She met Thomas E. Jackson while in junior high. They remained together through high school and married on December 31, 1963. Their home was in Farmville while Thomas was in Vietnam and when he returned home they moved to Coco Beach, Florida. Tulsa became home in 1969 and later Inola in 1976.
Although Linda's first priority was her family, she did work at Condit for many years as their office manager. She was faithful to them for more than 30 years. When she was home, Linda loved planting and taking care of her flower gardens. She also helped with the large vegetable garden that Thomas planted each year. When they were younger, Linda and Thomas loved to skate, and bowl, and were very active with their children's activities. They also enjoyed visiting with their friends. Holidays were always special to Linda. Her home was always decorated beautifully and the air was filled with the aroma of wonderful cooking, she made every event special.
Those family members that survive include her husband Thomas of their home; daughter Monica Sanders and husband Lee, grandchildren Reagan and Landre; daughter Tracy Powers and husband Shawn; granddaughter Casie Coshatt and husband Kale, great grandchild Kade, granddaughter Bailey Waggerman and husband Dillon, great grandsons Darren, Brian, and Jason and grandson Tyler Powers; daughter Amber Yant and husband Tim; grandchildren Aubrey, Adler, Kaizen, Straider and Thaddeus; sister Brenda Dewey. Linda was preceded in death by her parents.
