Linda Lee Levine

Funeral service for Linda Levine will be 2:00 pm Friday, September 18, 2020, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore. Services are under the direction of MMS-Payne Funeral Home. Linda, age 75, of Claremore, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020. She was born November 24, 1944, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. She was the youngest of seven children, and the only sibling born in a hospital. She was raised in the small town of Herd, Oklahoma.
Linda was a member of the Jazz Hall of Fame, where she enjoyed spending many weekends volunteering and listening to her friends play and sing. She was such a kind and generous person and so appreciative of her friends. When she made friends with you, you were her friend for life. She cherished each of you dearly.
She was survived by two children, her daughter Wendy Scarborough and husband Paul of Alabama, and her son David Ernest of Kansas; granddaughter Alicia Balderas and husband Nathan; and great-grandson Jasiah of Texas; sister Susie Mowrar of Oklahoma, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
