Funeral service for Linda Salmans was at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church on Thursday, February 2nd at 10 a.m.
Linda Salmans, 75 years of age, went to be with the Lord at her home after a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her family. Linda was born April 2, 1941 in Larned, KS to Wayne and Maxine Ackerman, one of eight children.
She married Raymond Salmans on August 3, 1963. She was a dedicated wife and mother who spent many hours creating happy childhood memories for her four children.
Linda worked over 20 years as the Secretary of Claremore Middle School, where she shared her creative artistic abilities, quick wit and humor. Oftentimes she would play a practical joke on her co-workers to bring laughter and joy.
She was a compassionate person who spent her life serving others, and often shared random acts of kindness that made someone’s day “just a little better.” Family was always first, and she felt great joy in attending her children and grandchildren’s athletic events and other activities. She was known to so many as “Grammy”.
She was survived by her devoted husband Ray, as well as her children, Stephanie and husband Jim, Tobi and husband Bruce, Chris and wife Jennifer, and Lisa and husband Ryan. Linda was also survived by her grandchildren, Whitney and husband Nick, Austin and wife Bradleigh, Alex, Willie, Claire, Chloe, Caroline, and Riley, as well as great-grandchildren, Jireh and Ingrid, and Ellie Grace.
To honor Linda’s servant-filled heart, please consider performing a random act of kindness in her memory.
