Linda Snyder

October 4, 1959 — March 21, 2024

Inola

Linda Snyder was a soft-hearted soul in every facet of her life. She was born in Ventura, California in 1959 next to the ocean she loved her entire life. On March 21st, 2024 she passed through this world and into the waiting arms of her father, John Goss, and through the guiding steps of her Father-In-Law, Walter Snyder.

Linda grew up in California, with the sun and salt in her hair. She met her one and only true love, Jeffrey, in High School and the two were inseparable from the moment they met. Linda loved Jeff fiercely and completely and he could not have loved her more. They married in 1982. Throughout life they somehow found ways to grow ever-closer year-by-year, weathered every storm and created every single memory of every adventure holding hands. Their numerous travels and adventures marked her courageous spirit. A more perfect happily-ever-after never existed.

Happier times continued to prevail with Linda's grandest adventure and title, “Mom”. She bravely raised her two daughters, Laura and Jessica, to be strong, independent, caring and maybe a bit fiery at times. She instilled the value of education and the importance of family with her every breath. She prepared them for everything except her leaving this earth.

Linda loved being a Grandmother and could never have too many hugs. Every spare space of her home is adorned with the tiny trinkets and treasures she made with them and the special gifts their hands and hearts created for her. She never missed a birthday or Christmas and her best presents were always handmade. She was a passionate seamstress, creating reality out of dreams that were, not only wearable, but enchanting. Many nights were filled with singing and dancing in the kitchen, making homemade pizza and cookies, picking patterns for dresses and costumes and watching her magical creations come to existence from nothing but an idea, a scrap of fabric and her brilliance.

We would be remiss if we did not mention Linda’s love of animals and the outdoors. Her beloved dachshund Lily was always found by her side. Linda always embraced animals. She endlessly rescued stray puppies, birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish and oh so many cats and loved them all. Linda made sure we giggled until our sides hurt and were left gasping for breath with tears streaming down our faces when she dressed up the family German Shepard, Max, in Jeff’s police uniform, complete with aviator glasses. She knew how to make us all laugh.

Linda leaves behind her deeply beloved husband Jeffrey Snyder, her two adored daughters Laura Cunningham (Shawn) and Jessica Thomas (Jesse), five cherished grandchildren, Ashton Thomas, Avery Schrick, Zeke Thomas, Sidney and Abigail Cunningham. Her dear mother, Fern Darrow (Goss), her dear mother-in-law, Sylvia Snyder, all of her much-loved siblings Lorene Luna (Robert), John Goss (Debra), and Dayl King (Tony), sister-in-law, Kimberly DeShong (Brandon) and brother-in-law Gregory Snyder (Candy) and many loving nieces and nephews.
