Loeta Mae Morgan, a dedicated member of the Foyil community and beloved family matriarch, passed away on December 22, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on June 27, 1935, in McCurtain, Oklahoma, Loeta led a life rich in service, family, and devotion to her passions.

Loeta worked for the Foyil School System for 24 years, serving as the cafeteria manager until her retirement in 1996. Her commitment to nurturing the children of the community extended beyond mere food service; she took pride in ensuring that every meal was prepared with care and attention to detail.

Her formative education was completed at McCurtain Public Schools, where her roots in the local community deepened. Following her schooling, Loeta became known not only for her work in the lunchroom but also for her remarkable culinary skills; it was said that no matter what she cooked, it was always exceptional.

A devoted member of the Friendly Foyil Baptist Church, Loeta was known for her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit, inviting many into her life with open arms. Her recreational interests included fishing and camping, activities that brought her joy during precious family outings. Additionally, she shared many delightful moments with her beloved husband, Gene, as they often frequented casinos, particularly enjoying the thrill of the money bag machines.

Loeta leaves behind her loving children: Terrye Morland, Gary Morgan, and Karen Brown, alongside her son-in-law, Toby. She cherished her four grandchildren and took immense pride in her seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Loeta was preceded in death by her husband Wallace Eugene Morgan; parents, John Adams and Nolia Adams, as well as one sister and two brothers-in-law. She also mourns the loss of her grandchild, Nicole Mathis, and daughter-in-law, Debbie Morgan.

Loeta Mae Morgan's remarkable life was characterized by her dedication to family, service to her community, and passion for cooking. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew and loved her.
