She lived in places such as California, Oregon and Arkansas. In the late 1950's she moved to Oklahoma. However she didn't stay long after four short years she moved back to California. There she began working, until she decided to make Oklahoma her permanent home. She settled in the Claremore area. Over the next few years she worked primarily taking care of her family, but she did work a short time for the Hesston corporation in Claremore and the Collinsville nursing home.
