Memorial service for Lonzo Nathan "L.N." VanSandt, Jr. will be 11 a.m., Tues., March 8, at Lifechanger Church with Dr. Ted Estes officiating.
L.N. died Thurs., March 3, 2011, at St. John Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 67.
The son of Lonzo N. VanSandt, Sr. and Lou Ella May (Reed) VanSandt was born Oct. 18, 1943, in Prairie Grove, AR. L.N. served in the U.S. Army. On March 31, 1963, he married Priscilla Ann Pitts in Miami. L.N. worked for the city of Miami before going to work as a private contractor. He owned V & V Carpet & Tile. In 1986, they moved to Claremore. L.N. loved to to be outdoors, especially shooting, hunting, and fishing. He believed in God, and was a past member of the Lion's Club. L.N. loved his family and enjoyed helping others.
L.N. is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Priscilla of the home; son, Lonzo VanSandt, III and wife, Melinda of Claremore; grandchildren: Kasandra, Kalista, Kayla, Adam, Ramzi, and Moe; siblings: Bob VanSandt and wife, Viola of Claremore, Eugene VanSandt and wife, Debbie of Claremore, James VanSandt and wife, Vicki of Claremore, Paul VanSandt and wife, Betty of Florida, Kathy Patton and husband, Robert of Claremore, and Mahalia "Skeeter" Eades and husband, Richard of Claremore; and many nieces and nephews.
