Funeral service for Lora White will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 17, 2020 at Eastern Hills Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Hinton Cemetery in Hinton, Oklahoma.
Lora Belle White passed away on January 10th, 2020 at the age of 88.
The daughter of Stephen O. and Mildred Allen Fossett was born October 13, 1931 in Hinton, Oklahoma. She would spend the next several years there living on the family farm. Upon graduating from Hinton High School, she would meet Darrell White. They would marry in 1948. The newly wed couple stayed in Hinton for the next few years. Eventually work would moved the family to places such as Weatherford, Moore, and even to Nebraska before setteling in the Tulsa area. There she began working for Brumbaugh and Fulton Mortgage, in the collections department. After her retirement Lora found herself volunteering at the local John 3:16 mission. She did that until a major back surgery slowed her down. It was at that point that she moved to Claremore to be closer to her children.
In her spare time Lora had many things that help keep her busy. She loved being involved in her church. She loved camping, and spending time at the lake. However her favorite past time was that spent with her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Mildred Fossett, and sister Juanita Ames.
Survivors include her children, Darrell White and wife Reneen of Claremore, and Carolyn Moore of Inola; grandchildren, Stacy Fite, Stefanie Moore, Cody Moore, Lindsay Raper and husband Rodney, and Kendyl Snyder and husband Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Scout, Triston, Matte, Kelsey, Ava and Ayden, along with many other extended family.
