Loretta Joy Space passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016, at Hillcrest Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 63.
The daughter of Fletcher Howard McComb and Hazel Lenora (Patton) McComb was born March 23, 1953, in Nowata. She attended Winganon and Chelsea schools. On April 4, 1970, Loretta married Larry Francis Space in Claremore. They made their home in Claremore, Chelsea, and Nowata, before moving to Ft. Smith where they lived for 25 years. They have made their home in Braggs for the past 3 years.
Loretta was a caretaker. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and fishing. She will be fondly remembered telling her stories, giggling, and laughing. She was a joy to be around.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Susie McComb.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Larry Space of the home; sons: James Space and wife, Patty of Owasso, and Gary Space of Braggs; brothers: Allen McComb and wife, Marcia of Lebanon, IN, and Charlie McComb of Claremore; and grandchildren: Jacob, Caitlin, and Mackenzie Space.
