Louise Tidwell

Funeral service for Louise Bookout Tidwell will be 2 p.m., Thurs., Oct. 20, at The Sanctuary Christian Worship Center, Chelsea. Burial will follow at Chelsea Cemetery under the direction of Chelsea Funeral Home & Crematory.

Louise died Mon., Oct. 17, 2011, at her home at the age of 68.

The daughter of Alpheus L. and Grace A. (Thacker) Bookout was born Jan. 22, 1943, in Warner. She graduated from Warner High School in 1961, and continued her education at Conners State College. After moving to Oklahoma City, Louise went to work for the Dept. of Labor. She retired in the 1990's from Fred Jones Ford where she worked as a secretary. On Jan. 20, 2001, Louise married Bennie John "Ben" Tidwell. They made their home in Choctaw before moving to Chelsea in 2002. Louise enjoyed helping people keep her place manicured; and loved being with family and friends.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Ben in 2002; her parents; and sister, Helen Edwards.

She is survived by her step-children: Terreca Lindsay of The Woodlands, TX, and Troy Cantrell of Guthrie; sisters: Lahoma Whorton of Tulsa, Naomia Beal of Chelsea, Barbara Barnes of Chelsea, and Rose Abram of Vinita; and numerous nieces and nephews.
