Service for Louise Mae Weygandt will be 2:00p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel, burial will follow at Bixby Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday January 2, from 1pm-8pm with family receiving visitors from 6pm-8pm. Louise passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016 at her home. She was 80.
Born December 20, 1936 in Cameron, Oklahoma to Bedford Dee and Rosie Mae Gober, Louise was the oldest of three children including Roy Dee and Helen Dee Gober. Louise was reared and educated in Tulsa and attended Webster High School. Following schooling, Louise married and began her family including her first three children, Linda, Jimmy and Scotty. In 1969 she married Silas Andrew Weygandt and the couple had a daughter, Paula and made Jenks their home. Following Silas' death in 1983, Louise worked for Inman Trucking and later Koch Industries, retiring in 2000.
Louise enjoyed life and that meant spending it with family. She loved to cook and this brought the family together often. Some of her kids favorite dishes were her homemade dressing, meatloaf, chicken and dumplings, banana pudding and chocolate pies. Louise loved sewing, arts and crafts and playing cards. When younger she enjoyed dancing and even tried a few steps most recently on her 80th birthday.
This loving and caring lady will be missed by all that knew her. Those family members that survive include her children Linda Buntin of Claremore, Jimmy Buntin of Tulsa, Scotty Buntin and wife Vonda of Broken Arrow, and Paula Bouyea and husband Robert of Celina, Texas; her sister Helen Snider of Checotah and her sister-in-law Nettie Gober of Oklahoma City; 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; she also has many nieces and nephews. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband Silas and her brother Roy Gober.
