Loveta May Minor was born on December 10th, 1935 in Whitefield, Oklahoma to Virgil and Dorothy Howard. Loveta met the love of her life Phillip Minor at a Supper after being introduced by his sister Shirley Minor. Loveta married the love of her life on May 17, 1952 in Claremore, Oklahoma and was happily married for 68 years. She had three children Terry and Linda Minor of Aledo, Texas, Joy and Marc Poorboy of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Doug and Cindy Minor of Stillwater, Oklahoma. She has six amazing grandchildren Joushua Minor, Timothy Minor, Shane Poorboy, Aaron Poorboy, Seth Minor, and Cassie Minor Angel. Which helped create seven beautiful great grandchildren Alyx Minor, Aidan Minor, Alyssa Poorboy, Ashley Minor, Taylor Minor Basil Poorboy and Caroline Rose Angel. Loveta was preceded in death by her parents Virgil and Dorothy Howard, Mother in love Genivie Minor, Father in love Bill Minor, Brothers Virgil, Jay, Bobby Howard, Sister Beverley Garman and Teresa Wilson, Sister in love Shirley Cruse and Ruby Cooper. She also had four nephews and one niece. Phillip and Loveta were members of Hilldale Baptist Church where Loveta worked in VBS and served as a Sunday School teacher for many years and worked with Home Demonstration Club as well as being involved in 4H with all of her three children. She also worked for Catoosa Schools for many years and worked within her brothers business Ramfab.
Some of her favorite pastimes that you would always see her do is gardening, canning, crocheting, quilting, and cooking. Another thing that was important to Loveta always made time for the church's need such as funeral dinners, showers and community needs. She was always there for the neighborhood boys especially when they would lure in racoons just for her to cook. In return Loveta would make sure the boys would keep their appetite by cleaning and cutting up the raccoon by her self before cooking it. She kept the boys like Doug Berma in school by keeping their hair cut.
She loved her sisters and brothers in love as if they were her own as well as her nieces and nephews. No one was a stranger to Loveta and if you were hungry she would make sure you left her house with a full belly. She had a laugh and a smile that would fill the room she was in with endless joy. She will be missed more than she could have ever imagined. May she rest in peace within God's arms right alongside her loving family.
