Lynn W. Beeson passed away May 14, 2014 at the age of 87.

The son of Lawrence and Myrtle Johnson Beeson was born October 24, 1926 in Sayre, Oklahoma. As he became school age, he attended the rural school of Indiahoma. Once he finished school he began working in the cotton fields of southwestern Oklahoma. As times got tougher he and his family headed west to find work. They settled in Roswell, New Mexico. Again he began working the cotton fields and helped farm on the LFD Ranch. There he also became reacquainted with his old neighbor Hazel Jacks. They were married April 26, 1945 in Roswell. Eventually he took a job working as a apprentice plumber. Eventually earning his license and becoming co-owner of a plumbing company. It was also during this time the he became reborn, and was called to the Ministry. Around 1953 he began his first pastoral ship at the First Assembly of God Church in Hammon, Oklahoma. Over the next several years he would pastor at the Assembly of God Church in Sayre, Assembly of God in Alva, Redfork Assembly of God in Tulsa, and the First Assembly of God in Independence, KS, before settling at the First Assembly of God Church in Chelsea in 1972. He served the church there until retiring in 1987. At that time he moved south of town to their retirement home near Foyil. However retirement didn't fit him well, and he decided to start the Foyil Assembly of God Church. Thanks to the general council he was able to bring in a new double wide trailer to use for services. He then concentrated on getting the new church built. Over the next four years he built the church, and was it full time pastor until retiring the second time in 1993. Even after his retirement he still enjoyed preaching revivals, and filled in at local churches when they needed help.

In his spare time he loved to fish, and took full advantage of nearby Oologah lake, He also enjoyed traveling. He and his wife traveled almost daily on short trips in the area just to enjoy what God has offered. However spending time with his children and grandchildren was his true love.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Myrtle Beeson; daughter, Linda Garvie; sister, Helen Joe Beeson, and brothers, John, Enis, and Joel Beeson.
