Funeral service for Margaret Ruth Remington will be 11 a.m., Wed., April 13, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with Pastor David Metz officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues. 1-5 p.m.
Margaret went to be with the Lord on Sat., April 9, 2011, at Integris Grove Hospital at the age of 87.
The daughter of John and Nora Belle Jackson was born April 15, 1923 in Winfield, Kansas. She lived there for a number of years, before moving to Blackwell, Oklahoma. During the depression she and her family moved to Stillwell. After graduating from Stilwell High School, Margie moved to Tulsa. She began working a Kresses. During that time she met Leon Remington They were married in 1943. In 1968 they moved to Claremore. Her hobbies included playing cards, reading mystery books and watching Matlock and Murder She Wrote on TV.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Leon; daughter, Margie Ann Wintermute; brother, Billy Jackson; and sister, Betty Jean Jackson.
She is survived by her children: Jerry Remington and wife, Barbara, Harvey Remington and partner, Russell Hockenbery, Steven Remington and wife, Marsha, Susie Harrison, and Vance Remington and wife, Nancy; son-in-law, Bill Wintermute; brothers: Richard, Jerry, and Donald Jackson; grandchildren: Kimbra, Tammy, Jeri, Doug, Kelli, Natalie, Jodie, Jake, Darrel, Jennifer, Ashley, Billy, Jonathon, Steven, Annie, Robbie, and Heather; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
