Funeral service for Margaret Darlene "Hot Shot" Steele will be 2 p.m., Thurs., Sept. 29, at the Chelsea Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wed. 1-7 p.m.
Margaret died Sun., Sept. 25, 2011, at St. Francis Hospital at the age of 60.
The daughter of LaVern and Mozell (Wilson) Scruggs was born Feb. 18, 1951, in Denison, TX. Her father was in the Air Force and the family lived in several areas throughout the United States. In 1982, Margaret married Michael Wayne Steele in Roswell, NM. In 1991, they moved to Chelsea. Margaret enjoyed crocheting, reading, and spending time with her dogs. She was a big Sci-Fi fan and enjoyed watching Ghost Hunters.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Bill Scruggs.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Mike of the home; daughter, Sonya Lewis of Cambry, OR; brothers: Dan Scruggs, Preston Scruggs, and Ron Osowski all of Chelsea; sister, B.J. Mondy of Chelsea; and grandchildren: Mike, Damien, and Michelle.
