Margie Lynn Babb

Memorial service for Margie Babb will be 2:00p.m., Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Willeo Baptist Church. 

Margie Lynn (Boydston) Babb was born on December 11, 1953 in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents Jeanne and Irvin Boydston.  Margie attended Tiawah School for 8 years, next she went to Inola High School, where she finished in the top 10 percent of her class.  After graduation she enrolled at CJC and attended there for 2 years.  She then enrolled at NSU, in Tahlequah and completed her degree in elementary education.  

In 1978 Margie was hired as an elementary teacher for Inola Public Schools.  After a few years of working, Margie had a daughter, Amanda Lynn Shope.  She continued teaching until her retirement in 2010, after nearly 30 years of teaching.

Margie is survived by her daughter Amanda Shope and her husband Evaristo Galindo; her siblings Phyllis Dosh, Dan Boydston and wife Linda, Sue Vaughn, Nancy Graham and husband Marvin, Teresa Berg and husband Tim and a host of nieces and nephews.
