Funeral service for Margie Lee Timmons will be 11 a.m., Wed., April 15, at Chelsea Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Walden officiating. Burial will follow at Chelsea Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues. 1-8 p.m. and family will greet friends 6-8 p.m.
Margie passed away Thurs., April 9, 2015, at Claremore Nursing Home at the age of 88.
The daughter of William Ellick and Susan Grace (Most) Ellick was born Feb. 8, 1927, in Claremore. Margie grew up in White Oak. On May 13, 1943, she married Warren Paris in Vinita. They made their home in Adair where they raised their five children. Margie was a homemaker and helped on the family farm. She also worked a few years at the Claremore Luggage Plant and as a nurses aide. She enjoyed attending Harvestime Church in Adair, and watching church programs on television. She also enjoyed gardening vegetables and flowers, and picking blackberries, peaches and wild onions; as well as embroidery, reading, cooking, going to garage sales, and making oil paintings.
Margie is preceded in death by her husband, Warren; her parents; siblings: Henry Ellick, Wilbur Ellick, and Elsie Goodwin; grandchildren: Vernon Paris and Cathleen Akin; and great-grandson, Jaspar Chaffee.
She is survived by her children: Warren Paris and wife, Deborah of Adair, Sue Brewer and husband, Jim of Fairfield, OH, Colleen Akin of Claremore, Linda Gifford and husband, Johnny of Spavinaw, and Donna Hubble and husband, Robert of Monkey Island; sister, Agnes Sappington of Quapaw; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
