Margo Leigh Chapman was born August 4, 1953 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and passed away on November 17, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1971 then attended two years at Oklahoma Christian College. She left college to enter the business world. She was brilliant with numbers and worked her way up to the Controller position for BenTrei, an international fertilization company. She took an early retirement due to her impeccable way with saving and managing money. Only as a pastime, she helped some people on the side with their accounting.
Her passionate pastime was art. She was a fabulous artist with her drawings, paintings, building miniatures, and other crafty projects. She was infamous with her creative ways to gift money. Receiving a money gift from her, was always exciting and entertaining. All of her gifts were very personal because she gave much thought to them. She was so generous.
She cared deeply for her family and friends. She invested many hours of her time and thoughtfulness in her close circle of friends. After her mother passed, she made her dad a top priority in her life, keeping his financials in order, keeping him well supplied in household products and especially snacks. She, still living in Tulsa, made the trek to Claremore two to three times a week to spend time with her dad and take him to breakfast. She felt very blessed to be able to have that special time in their later years.
She was an animal lover, first of cats then she switched to dogs. Her dogs were treated like royalty.
She liked to stay home and the older she got, the more home bodied she became. It was difficult to get her to go out but she didn't lose contact with people. She LOVED to talk on the phone. She had a couple of friends that she talked with every night for hours. She also had friends that she talked with once a week for hours. She loved hearing about everyone's lives. She loved her nephews and recently, great nephews and niece. She always enjoyed hearing about their lives and accomplishments.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Vicki Chapman. She is survived by her older brother, Steve Chapman and wife, Pam of Robinson, Texas, younger sister, Melissa Lambert of Claremore, nephews Levi Chapman of Long Beach, Trey Lambert and wife, Morgan of Claremore, Cole Lambert and wife, Addy of Sand Springs, Austin Lambert and wife, Rayme of Claremore, two great nephews, Miles Chapman and Reid Lambert and one great niece, Lucy Lambert. And her favorite of all, her beloved Sheltie, Mia.
