Marie Morrison

Funeral service for Marie Morrison will be 11 a.m., Thurs., March 22, at First Christian Church of Chelsea with Rev. Richard Billings officiating. Burial will follow in Chelsea Cemetery under the direction of the Chelsea Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wed., March 21 from 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m.

Marie died Sun., March 18, 2012, at her home at the age of 88.

The daughter of Fred and Myrtle (Sharum) Miller was born on October 14, 1923, in Strong City, OK. Marie graduated from Chelsea High School in 1941. She married Lore Henry, who preceded her in death in 1965. Later she married Ross Morrison, who preceded her in death in 1980. She worked at and owned several restaurants in the Chelsea area; and retired as the dietician at Eastern State Hospital. Marie loved watching sports, especially when her grandchildren were playing. She was an avid shopper, who would sometimes go shopping with her friends three or four days a week.

Marie was preceded in death by her two husbands, Lore Henry and Ross Morrison; her parents; brothers: Soulen and Stanley Miller; granddaughter, Kimberly Cole; and great-grandson, Zack Whorton.

She is survived by her sons: Darrell Henry and wife Pam, and Rick Henry and wife Linda, all of Bartlesville; step-sons: Mike and Roy Lee; daughter, Cindy; sister, Jill Miller; 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and a host of friends.
