Marie Elizabeth Thomas was born Dec. 10, 1932, in Dawson, OK. She passed away on Feb. 15, 2012, at St. John Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 79. Private family services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory.
Marie was raised in Tulsa and attended Tulsa schools. On Oct. 4, 1952, she married Robert Frank Thomas. In 1967, they made their home east of Chelsea, before moving back to Tulsa 1973. They owned and operated United Steel Fabricators. Marie also owned Fashion First Dress Shop in Claremore. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading, traveling, and spending time with her dogs.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 1992; her mother, Susana Raincrow; and 1 brother.
She is survived by her children: Robert F. Thomas, Jr. and wife, Joni of Tulsa; Debra S. Osten of Tulsa; grandchildren: Christopher Thomas of Claremore, and Brock Osten of Alluwe; 3 great-grandchildren; and brother, James Barnard and wife, Berta of Grove, and neices Liz Barnard Hicks and Kim Barnard Buzzard..
