Funeral services for Marilyn Joyce Bradley will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Dick Duck Cemetery in Catoosa, Oklahoma.

Marilyn passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the age of 69. She was born on February 4, 1955, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Leroy and Ruby (Cherry) McKinney.

Marilyn grew up in Catoosa, where she attended Catoosa High School. As a student, she was a majorette and graduated with the Class of 1973. Shortly after, she married her high school sweetheart, Bobby Bradley, and together they built a life in Catoosa, raising their family with love and dedication.

Marilyn was a trailblazer in her education and career. She was among the first to enroll in the inaugural nursing program at Rogers State College, earning her degree in 1983. Marilyn began her nursing career at St. Francis Hospital in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, where she served patients with compassion and skill for 22 years. One of her proudest accomplishments during her time there was being part of a heart team that traveled to Jerusalem for volunteer work, an experience that deeply resonated with her giving spirit.

After leaving St. Francis, Marilyn brought her expertise to Bailey Medical Center in Owasso, where she worked until her retirement in 2022. Her nursing career was more than a job—it was her life’s mission. Marilyn was known for her unwavering commitment to excellence in healthcare and for building meaningful relationships that lasted a lifetime.

While her professional life was a cornerstone of her identity, Marilyn did however enjoy an occasional vacation. Traveling with her best friend Karen Knowles and her husband Tim was always a great time. Mexico was one of their favorite destinations. However her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother who prioritized attending every event her children were involved in, always cheering them on with love and pride.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her father, Leroy McKinney.

She is survived by her sons, Bobby and Brian Bradley; daughters-in-law, Melissa McFall and Randi Bradley; grandchildren, Mckynna Jade, Taylor Nicole, Maddox Shawn, Britany, Josh, and Raelee; siblings, Mike McKinney, Judy Scullawl and husband Bill, and Sheila Maddox and husband Todd; nephews, Kurt and Kory Scullawl, John and Jimmy McKinney, Wyatt Long, and Samuel, Jimmy, and Paul Bradley; nieces, Charity Hambrick and Morgan Kelley, along with many other extended family members.

Marilyn will be remembered as a kind-hearted, hardworking, and selfless woman who dedicated her life to caring for others and loving her family deeply. She will be greatly missed.
