The daughter of Joe Frank and Maxine Cupp Cummins was born August 7, 1948 in Inola. She attended Inola schools where she enjoyed playing on the basketball team. In 1966 she graduated Inola High School.

Then there was the FFA events where she was crowned FFA Sweetheart. She was very proud of all her pageant wins, but being crowned Mrs. Tulsa State Fair, Fairest of the Fair was one of her proudest pageant wins.

In her spare time Marilyn loved spending time at home, singing in the choir, cooking all her favorite meals from scratch, and taking care of her beloved cat Angel. She also always enjoyed the times she got to spend with her family and friends.
