Memorial Service for Marilyn Sue Lewis will at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018 at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel, Claremore, Oklahoma. Marilyn passed away at her home in Claremore with her family on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the age of 73. She was born September 4, 1944 in Wagoner, Oklahoma to parents Cap H. Stiplin and Marie Striplin (Harvey). Marilyn graduated from Inola High School in 1962. She was an Insurance Executive and owner of Roger County Insurance until her retirement in 1998. She was a long time member of Church On The Move in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Marilyn was a wonderful seamstress, loved to read, rope spinning and back packing. She was a member of the Wild West Arts Club and volunteered at the school libraries. She loved her OSU Cowboys and was a long time participant in Grandparent University.
Marilyn is survived by her husband John Lewis of the home; daughters Anita Williams and her husband Greg of Claremore, Oklahoma, Dana Homer and her husband John of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Deidre (Dee) Williams and her husband Michael of Catoosa, Oklahoma; son Dusty Lewis and his wife Molly of Claremore; Brothers Ted Stiplin of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Charles Stiplin of Claremore, Oklahoma; Sister Linda Striplin-Boydston and her husband Dan of Morris, Oklahoma; granddaughters Tara Williams of Jacksonville, Florida, Emily Williams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Grandson Austin Brewer of Catoosa and brother-in-law Gene Lewis of Claremore, Oklahoma.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, In-laws John and Artie Lewis, son Darin Brunson and grandson Damon Hays.
