Funeral service for Marsha Jo Kuykendall will be 3 p.m., Wed., Aug. 15, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with Brother Scott Greenland officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues. 1-8 p.m.
Marsha died Fri., Aug. 10, 2012, at her home at the age of 52.
The daughter of Glen Rolland and Billie June (Ford) Gorman was born Jan. 31, 1960, in Honolulu, HI. The family moved to Foyil , where Marsha played on the basketball team. After high school, Marsha continued her education at Rogers State University where she earned an Associates degree. She moved to Pryor where she was a stay at home mom while raising her children. She then went to work with Fashion Floors as a sales associate. Marsha enjoyed reading the Bible, embroidery, and spending time with her grandchildren. After many years, Marsha became reacquainted with her high school sweetheart, William Otis "Bill" Kuykendall. They were married on Aug. 5, 2004 in Chelsea. Marsha attended the First Baptist Church in Claremore.
Marsha is preceded in death by her mother, Billie.
She is survived by her husband, Bill of the home; children: Matthew "W.D." Harris and wife, Cali of Ada, and Mikki Jo Turner and husband, Curtis of Ada; step-daughters: Stephanie Kuykendall of Claremore, and Kara Lawhorn and husband, Brandon of Sequoyah; brothers: Joseph Nicholas and wife, Beth of Siloam Springs, AR, and David McFerrin and wife, Cheryl of Atlanta, GA; sisters: Sandra Anders of Locust Grove, and Sally Mattingly of Tulsa; grandchildren: Casey McClure, Jacob McClure, Ian Harris, James Harris, Jordan Kuykendall, Kara Ward, Dakota Botts, Kay Guthrie, and Emma Lawhorn; mother-in-law, Vera Kuykendall of Claremore; and sisters-in-law: Gail Bates, and Susan Kassick and husband, Jim all of Claremore.
