Funeral service for Martha Ann Horn will be 11 a.m., Tues., April 26, at Gregory Baptist Church with Pastor Denny Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Sweeten Cemetery under the direction of Inola Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Mon. 1-6 p.m.
Martha died Fri., April 22, 2011, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 87.
The daughter of Roy and Bessie (Cameron) Troutt was born April 18, 1924, in Durant. Martha graduated from Durant High School in 1942. After graduation she moved to Tulsa and began working at Douglas Aircraft during the war. While in Tulsa, she met Arlon "Spec" Forbus. They were married on Dec. 14, 1945. They made their home in Tulsa where they owned and operated Airway Appliance. In 1960, they moved to Inola; and she became an active member of Gregory Baptist Church. Martha loved to feed the birds, watch TV, and spend time with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Dr. Roy Troutt.
She is survived by her sons: Dale Forbus and wife, Dicie of Nowata, and Dudley Forbus and wife, Carol of Inola; and grandchildren: Christy Forbus, Delanie Berry and husband, Jud of Ninnekah, Joseph Forbus and wife, Brandy of Owasso, and Jeffrey Forbus of Norman; and great-grandchildren: Roper Forbus, Jett and Jace Berry, and Daxton Forbus.
