Mary's journey through life began with her education at Claremore Public Schools. She possessed a thirst for knowledge and cherished the opportunity to expand her horizons.
One of Mary's greatest joys was spending time with her family. She took immense pride in being a grandmother and played an active role in caring for her grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit and devotion left a lasting impact on their lives.
Alongside her husband Larry Dilldine, Mary found solace tending to her cows and chickens. The serenity of the outdoors brought her great joy as she cultivated her love for gardening. She possessed a green thumb and excelled in nurturing plants and flowers to their fullest potential.
In addition to her love of nature, Mary also enjoyed expressing her creativity through sewing. Granny possessed a keen eye for detail and created beautiful pieces that showcased her talent and dedication. Challenging puzzles were another endeavor that she relished. Crossword puzzles heightened her mental acuity while providing relaxation and entertainment. A culinary enthusiast, Granny delighted in making sweets for her loved ones. Her cherry delight dessert was unrivaled in its flavor and presentation. The love she poured into each bite made it all the more special. During moments of relaxation, Mary found solace in watching television shows like Grey's Anatomy and Heartland.
The proudest accomplishment of Mary's life was undoubtedly her role as a grandmother. She cherished the bond she shared with Skylar Carter, Charles Dilldine, Nichols Dilldine, Brooke Dilldine, Sarah Dilldine, Arielle Ragsdale, Madyson Childers, and Kallie Childers. Their laughter and joy brought immeasurable happiness to her heart. Mary Catherine's legacy will live on through these cherished individuals.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Millie Gunnells, her brothers Billy and Leroy Rowton, and her sisters Jenie Christianson and Cookie Wiley.
She is survived by her loving husband Larry Dilldine, who provided unwavering support throughout their journey together. Their bond was a testament to the strength of their love and commitment. Mary leaves behind her sons Bobby Dilldine and Jamie Dilldine, daughters Laura Sullivan and Betty Neel, sister Missy Ham, as well as numerous extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. In addition to her immediate family, Mary also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren. Their presence brought immense joy to her life and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Granny will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her dedication to nurturing those around her, and the countless memories she created over the years. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
