Mary Eveline Kaufman

Services for Mary Eveline Kaufman will be 2:00p.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at First Christian Church, Chelsea. Burial will follow at Chelsea Cemetery under the direction of Chelsea Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Visitation will be from 1—8pm on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the funeral home with family receiving visitors from 6—8pm. Mary passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014. She was 89.
Mary Eveline Kaufman was born September 1, 1924 in Riverton, Nebraska to Luke and Thelma Marie (Kidder) Stahl. Following her graduation from high school, Mary continued her education by attending college. On August 6, 1953 she married Richard Lee Kaufman and the couple was blessed with seven children. A wonderful homemaker, Mary was always there for her family, making sure they were well cared for.
Hobbies include sewing, rock collecting and raising flowers. Mary enjoyed bringing fresh flowers from her garden to share at Sunday services; she was very devoted to her church and church family.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Mary will be missed by all who knew her. Those that survive include her husband Richard of almost 61 years; her children Robert Leroy Kaufman-Wolff and wife Sue, David Allen Kaufman and wife Marty, Phyllis Dee (Kaufman) Davidson and husband Donald and Cindy Sue (Kaufman) Land and husband Sam; her sisters Ella Adams and Edna Findley. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, sons Lynnie Kaufman, Lonnie Kaufman and Timothy Kaufman, her sisters Esther Parker and Hazel Morley, her brother Henry Francis Stahl and 2 great grandchildren.
